Aston Villa have submitted a second bid for Moussa Diaby, it has now been claimed he is keen on a move to Villa Park.
Villa have had a rampant start to the summer transfer window as they aim to strengthen ahead of their Conference League campaign.
The signings of Youri Tielemans and Pau Torres have already arrived as two deals which greatly improve Unai Emery’s Villa side.
The Spanish coach however isn’t finished just yet as he target further signings to ensure he can improve on his 7th place finish last season.
It appears likely now that the next signing will be that of Bayer Leverkusen’s Diaby following a positive update from Fabrizio Romano.

Romano gives Diaby update
According to a report on GIVEMESPORT, Romano suggested Villa will have to offer much more to tempt Leverkusen into selling.
But he did add that the French winger wants the move, with the aim to play in England under Emery.
“They’re [Leverksuen] also aware of the desire of the player to make his move to the Premier League and join Unai Emery.”
This makes good reading for Villa fans, with a top target keen on making the move, and due to the two sides not being miles apart on a fee, there should be a deal made.
According to 90min, Villa have now submitted a second bid worth £43million for the Bundesliga side to consider, but face competition from Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Do Villa have alternatives?
Villa have made Diaby their top target however they haven’t put all their eggs in one basket. The club chiefs have added Jeremy Doku to their transfer shortlist as the secondary option.
This according to Fabrizio Romano, who says the 21-year-old Rennes star is an option for Villa in case a Diaby deal doesn’t come off.
Villa have also shown interest in signing Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds who were relegated last season. He would be a cheaper option and his interest has been around over the past few weeks.
