Aston Villa defender, Pau Torres has opened up about life with Villa and has discussed their form in recent weeks.
In the summer transfer window, Aston Villa signed Pau Torres from Villareal in a deal worth £35 million.
He was one of Unai Emery’s key targets and it was clear that across pre-season that he was the only centre-back target wanted.
After coming in for the injured Tyrone Mings, the Spaniard has gone from strength to strength, despite a difficult start.
Alongside Ezri Konsa, a solid defensive pairing has been formed. With Emiliano Martinez behind them, the Villans’ defence has been a solid foundation.

With Matty Cash on the right and Lucas Digne on the left, the Villa back four has been a very consistent unit in the Premier League.
Despite not registering many clean sheets this campaign, they rarely concede more than one goal.
What has Pau Torres said?
The Spaniard has been on international duty this week but has also been discussing his club with the Express and Star.
Torres has been integral to developing Emery’s style of play at Villa Park. On that, he said: “We just have to keep going game to game. Now we feel strong and comfortable with the structure and our style, this is the way.”
In the versatile 4-4-2 formation that the Villans set up in, passing out from the back has become essential. There aren’t many better at it than the boys in claret and blue right now.
The form in B6 has been top-class, going unbeaten since February and accruing the most home points of any team in the Premier League.
With that being said, the away form hasn’t been so great and despite a great start, Emery’s men have been hampered by that.
Discussing that, Torres added: “But now we need to improve away from home because we need to add points away if we are going to stay in this position.”
Even if this is the case, the Spaniard is still happy: “We feel very strong at home at the moment and it was important for us to get another win before the international break.”
The defender started and played the full 90 minutes as Spain secured a 3-1 victory over Cyprus and was left out against Georgia.
Luckily for Villa fans, he hasn’t picked up any injuries while away from Bodymoor Heath and will be ready for the trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
