It has been a great start to the season for Aston Villa but there are always improvements to be had. Which three players could improve?
The Villains currently find themselves in fifth place in the Premier League as we have reached the October international break.
With some great wins over Brighton and Hove Albion, Everton and Chelsea there have been some great performances so far.
That being said, losses against Newcastle United, Liverpool and Legia Warsaw have been disappointing.
As a result, there are certain players who could step up and give Unai Emery a selection headache moving forward. Which three players could improve most?
1. Youri Tielemans

One of Villa’s big-name signings this summer, he came with lots of hype. This was only added to after some top performances in pre-season.
With that being said, he has had a very lacklustre start to his career with the Villains, with a lack of minutes mixed with poor showings.
He hasn’t helped himself with some strange comments in the Belgian media, which hasn’t endeared him to the Villa faithful.
Everybody knows the ability that he possesses, Villa fans want to see him do well but right now he just isn’t doing that and needs to improve.
2. Leander Dendoncker

One of the unsung heroes of last season, Dendoncker put in some top performances last year. The win over Newcastle United springs to mind.
This season he hasn’t featured very heavily, so not being up to match speed may not be his fault.
With that being said in games he has played, he has looked slow and easy enough to get by. Something which he definitely wasn’t last year.
With Douglas Luiz and Boubakar Kamara in front of him, it is hard, but he does still need to improve.
3. Calum Chambers

Chambers has barely featured this season, but when he has he hasn’t done himself any favours.
In one of the most disappointing losses of the season, against Legia Warsaw, the Englishman was caught out on many occasions.
His own versatility may play against him as he is often forced out wide and slotted in at right back.
It must be said that his level needs to improve in order to remain at the club. Plenty of Villa fans are calling for a right back in January, which could spell the end for Chambers.
