Unai Emery has issued a big injury update ahead of Aston Villa vs Juventus as first-team duo are confirmed fit for the Champions League clash.

Villa face a massive challenge on Wednesday night. With the club out of form, Unai Emery’s side are set to take on Italian giants Juventus in the Champions League

The Claret and Blue side have struggled in recent weeks and are now on a run of six matches without a win.

However, the club have a great chance to deliver a result after they confirmed both Ezri Konsa and Boubacar Kamara would be back for the clash.

Emery was without the duo against Crystal Palace after they both picked up recent knocks.

Kamara picked up an injury against Liverpool whereas Konsa was forced home from the England camp after picking up a knock against Greece.

Since then, the pair have recovered well and there was renewed hope that they would make the squad after Kamara and Konsa were spotted training before the Juventus game

Now, Emery has confirmed that the duo will be in the squad in his recent press conference.

The Villa manager said: “In the squad, we include Konsa and Boubacar Kamara for tomorrow but not Onana or Ramsey.”

The Juventus clash could be a key moment for Villa. After an awful recent run of form, there is now a chance to prove that their recent dip is just a blip.

A victory against the Old Lady would put the club on 12 points which should put them through to at least the play-off stage of the competition.

On top of the club’s recent injury boost, Juventus are all without multiple key players which could work in Emery’s favour.

In front of a packed Villa Park crowd, now is the time for the squad to show what they are made of and rekindle the quality they were possessed at the start of the season.
