Aston Villa continue to look unstoppable under the tactical genius Unai Emery with Morgan Rogers spearheading their charge.
Rogers has endured a remarkable rise since completing the switch from Middlesbrough for £15 million in the January transfer window.
From playing in the Championship a year ago to holding his own in the Champions League, nobody can stop the 22-year-old’s path towards the elite.
Aston Villa’s latest triumph in Europe’s elite competition came over Bologna, and Rogers assisted Jhon Duran for his second goal, helping them to a 2-0 win.
Rogers was magnificent in all aspects of his game against Bologna, with one statistic now highlighting his dominance over the Serie A side.

Morgan Rogers completed the most successful dribbles at Aston Villa since Jack Grealish
The England under-21 international has developed into a ball-carrying machine at Aston Villa.
When he picks up the possession on the half turn, no defender can shrug him off the ball or deal with his searing pace and freakish upper body strength.

For many Villa fans, watching Rogers decimate opposition defences will serve as a flashback to the time Jack Grealish was doing similar.
The 28-year-old – who they sold to Manchester City for £100 million in 2021 – became recognised for his ability to glide past defenders.
In the aftermath of the win over Bologna, it has emerged that Rogers completed seven successful dribbles.
As per Nathan Evans on X, the last player to record more in a match for the Villans was Grealish vs West Ham in November 2020 (8).
Just like Grealish was at Villa Park, the former Man City academy gem is a joy to watch each time he steps on the pitch, and this statistic just reinforces such excitement.

How Rogers can become unstoppable
Grealish became truly world-class at Aston Villa by refining his end product and serving up match-winning moments.
Frustratingly, Rogers currently lacks that from his game and finding such ruthlessness can take him to the next level.
The Englishman did provide a superb cross for Duran’s goal but he could have found the net himself if he sharpened his shooting boots.
Rogers was sent through just before half-time, bursting into Bologna’s box however, his effort was comfortably saved by the goalkeeper.
The Villa No.27 needs to improve these moments for him to truly reach the ceiling of his potential and considering he’s only 22, it’s scary to think how good he could become in a few years.
