Aston Villa are preparing for another memorable Champions League night on home soil.
It has been some start from Unai Emery and his players, with a 100% record in Europe’s elite competition so far and one defeat all season long.
Villa’s win over Bayern Munich last time out will live long in the memory of supporters, with Jhon Duran the hero on that night following his winning goal from the bench.
There are several players in the squad either, yet to make their Champions League bow, or yet to play in front of the Villa Park crowd in this competition.
Matty Cash is one of them, but he has a chance to taste that life when Villa host Bologna on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old was on the bench for the Munich game and he experienced the atmosphere that way, but now he wants to be on the pitch.

Matty Cash couldn’t hear himself during Villa Park’s Champions League atmosphere
Cash recently returned from injury and has now started back-to-back matches on either side of the international break.
The Poland international was sitting on the beach for the win over Bayern and admitted that the Villa Park atmosphere was ‘so loud’ that he ‘couldn’t hear myself talk’.
But, of course, he is now hoping to experience it whilst running up and down the right channel, with Emery looking to make it three wins from three.
“I think it’ll be loud,” said Cash about the atmosphere against Bologna in the Champions League.
“Bayern was incredible, I was sat on the bench and it was so loud I couldn’t hear myself talk. I haven’t made my Champions League debut yet, hopefully, it comes (against Bologna).”
Aston Villa fans fume at Bologna ticket prices
It has been an unfortunate talking point since the start of the season and that’s Villa’s Champions League ticket prices.
Given that this is the club’s venture into the big time for the first time in a long time, the powers that be have used it to ask for ridiculous prices for tickets.
Villa fans have had to pay over £80 for a ticket and, surprise, surprise, the ones for the Bologna one haven’t all sold out.
As a result, it seems as though Villa fans buying late tickets are paying half the price for the Bologna game and it has left many annoyed.
Villa fan and podcaster Dan Bardell highlighted the issue on social media.
