Jhon Duran came off the bench to save Aston Villa’s blushes once more as he scored a stunning goal to win the game late on against Everton.

Aston Villa extended their unbeaten run to 11 matches against Everton as fans were treated to some heart-in-mouth moments at Villa Park.

At first, Unai Emery would have been angered after Dwight McNeil and Dominic Calvert-Lewin put the visitors 2-0 up in the first half.

The Villans had dominated the game up until that point, and while they weren’t at their sharpest, Ollie Watkins got his side back into the match with a header and then converted another chance early into the second half.

With the game in the balance at 2-2, Aston Villa were in the ascendancy going into the latter part of the game and just when they needed a moment of brilliance, who else but Jhon Duran pulled a rabbit out of the hat.

How Emi Martinez reacted to Jhon Duran’s winner for Aston Villa vs Everton

For the third time this season, Duran came off the bench to save Aston Villa’s blushes, proving his worth as one of, if not, the best young striker on the planet.

The 20-year-old scored the winner against West Ham to secure victory on the opening day and then came off the bench in the win over Leicester City to score a superb header.

But this moment he’s just produced is by far the best of the three, almost instantly after coming onto the pitch, Duran produced an absolute rocket of a strike into the top corner to help Villa secure an important win.

The incredible shot from the youngster left everyone inside Villa Park in disbelief, including goalkeeper Emi Martinez, who instantly reacted to the goal with his head in his hands.

The Argentine couldn’t believe what he’d just seen from the towering Colombian, who is doing everything in his power to push into the starting XI.

Jhon Duran is just unbelievable

What Duran is doing currently is just unbelievable, and it’s something that is rarely seen in the Premier League.

The impact he’s making from the bench is what every manager would dream of and the belief Emery has shown in the striker has rubbed off onto his performances.

To score off the bench in three of your side’s first four games is a feat that not many players in world football, if any, can say they’ve done.

This goal, in particular, cements his place as the most promising young forward on the planet for his age and it’s scary how good he can become.
