Aston Villa will jump back into Premier League action after the international break with a home clash against Everton at Villa Park.
It’s been a strong start to the season for Aston Villa, who recorded wins over West Ham and Leicester City either side of a defeat to Arsenal.
Unai Emery will now want his side to secure all three points at home to Everton on Saturday evening, with the Villans boasting an excellent record against the Toffees.
Since returning to the Premier League in 2019, Villa are unbeaten in all 10 of their top-flight meetings against this weekend’s opponents, winning seven and drawing three.
Villa fans will be confident about their side making it 11 matches unbeaten in this fixture but there are some injury concerns to deal with.
Aston Villa team news ahead of Everton
Emery welcomed back Boubacar Kamara to Aston Villa training this week after recovering from the ACL injury he suffered in February. This news came after Tyrone Mings joined up with his Villa teammates at the start of the month.
In other news, Matty Cash remains sidelined with a hamstring injury sustained in the defeat to Arsenal and will miss the next three games while Leon Bailey is also a doubt for the visit of Everton.
Bailey was substituted with a hamstring injury in the win over Leicester City and Emery was doubtful about his chances of featuring on Saturday.
Elsewhere, Jaden Philogene missed that trip to the King Power stadium with a knock but unlike the Jamaican, Villa are hopeful he’ll be fit enough to at least take his place on the bench this weekend.

Aston Villa predicted lineup vs Everton
Emi Martinez was left angry after Jhon Duran’s Columbia got the better of Argentina on Tuesday night. It was only the goalkeeper’s third loss for his national side in 47 matches.
Martinez will want to put that disappointment behind him when he takes his place between the posts against Everton.
Villa started with a back four of Lamare Bogarde, Pau Torres, Ezri Konsa and Lucas Digne last time out and barring any late concerns, that should remain unchanged.
The central midfield positions also speak for themselves with Youri Tielemans partnering his Belgian teammate Amadou Onana.
Tielemans has successfully offset the loss of Douglas Luiz with his performances and he’ll be looking to pull the strings once more.
Just ahead of that dynamic duo, Morgan Rogers will be desperate to score his first goal of the campaign with the ‘outstanding’ Jacob Ramsey coming into the side on the left and John McGinn playing on the right.
That leaves Emery with just a decision to make at striker and perhaps he should persist with Ollie Watkins and leave Jhon Duran on the bench, despite the Colombian scoring last time out.
