Aston Villa are back in action after the international break on Saturday afternoon against Wolves, with Unai Emery expected to make some changes after the draw against West Ham.
Aston Villa will be eager to get back to winning ways in the Premier League following the international break.
The Villans have failed to win in their previous two league fixtures prior to the break and will hope to get back on track against Wolves.
In a meeting between the Midlands neighbours, Unai Emery is expected to make some changes, here’s our Aston Villa predicted XI vs Wolves…
Aston Villa predicted lineup v Wolves
Emi Martinez
After travelling around 12000 miles on international duty, Emery will hope that Emi Martinez is rested and ready to go to battle with Wolves just three days after Argentina’s fixture against Costa Rica in Los Angeles.
Alex Moreno
While Villa are blessed to have two left-backs capable of starting, the manager will have a selection headache ahead of Wolves, with Alex Moreno expected to start ahead of Lucas Digne, just as he did against West Ham.
Pau Torres
One player who has fond memories of the fixture at Molineux against the Old Gold earlier this season is Pau Torres, who netted the point-earning goal. The Spaniard is an integral member of Emery’s back line.
Diego Carlos
Partnering Torres could be Diego Carlos in place of Clement Lenglet, who didn’t have his best outing at the London Stadium, seeing him withdrawn at half-time.
Ezri Konsa
After suffering what looked like a hamstring injury on international duty, Matty Cash is expected to once again miss out to Ezri Konsa. The Englishman received high praise for his display on his international debut against Brazil, making him a firm starter for Villa.
Morgan Rogers
While it looks as though Jacob Ramsey could soon return, Morgan Rogers should keep his place in the starting XI given his efforts over the past few weeks. The 21-year-old is building confidence and additional minutes against Wolves would benefit him greatly.
Douglas Luiz
Arguably one of the first names on the team sheet is Douglas Luiz, who will be pivotal in midfield against Wolves in what will be a fierce battle between himself and his countryman, Joao Gomes.

Youri Tielemans
Partnering Luiz is likely to be Youri Tielemans, who started in midfield against the Hammers. Emery is particularly short on holding midfielders hence why the Belgian should start however, he must ensure he strengthens the defensive side of his game.
Leon Bailey
Having not scored in the league in over a month, Leon Bailey will be desperate to get back on the scoresheet, with his talent having the potential to make it a nervy evening for Wolves.
Moussa Diaby
Described as a “wonderful talent” by BBC Match of the Day pundit Danny Murphy, it should be Moussa Diaby that starts ahead of Jhon Duran against Wolves.
Diaby has really shown his worth over the past few games after losing his starting spot due to a dip in form, with Duran’s display against the Hammers being far from convincing.
Ollie Watkins
Ollie Watkins will be eager to return to Villa Park after receiving harsh criticism on international duty.
The striker will have goals on his mind, being only four away from becoming Villa’s top scorer in a single Premier League season, needing 20 to break Christian Benteke’s 19.
