Former Liverpool midfielder, Danny Murphy has opened up about Aston Villa star, Moussa Diaby following his performance vs Luton Town.
Back at Villa Park once again, Aston Villa secured their twelfth win in a row at home, but there were a few standouts.
Under the tutelage of Unai Emery, the record signing, Diaby, has transitioned into a second striker. This contrasts to his role at Bayer Leverkusen where he played on the wing.
He grabbed his third goal of the season and his first goal in B6, much to the delight of the Villa faithful.
What has Danny Murphy said about Moussa Diaby?
Murphy was discussing Villa on Match of the Day 2 and was full of praise for the 3-1 win.
On the ability the Frenchman possesses, Murphy said: “Diaby is a wonderful talent who has fitted in so easily and so quickly. He is always a goal threat.”
There is no doubt that the Villains’ record-signing has been superb this season. He looks to be back to his best.
Against the Hatters, he picked up a goal and an assist for Tom Lockyer’s own goal which saw plenty of acclaim.

Considering he is acclimatising to a new league and in a new position, his form has been top-class.
On Diaby’s performance, Murphy added: “He used to be a winger, centrally he is causing havoc for teams. He has the ability to get you up the pitch with his pace. I like the fact he is always trying things.”
With pace in buckets and an eye for a goal and pass, going forward he has it all. In a short time, he has become an important cog in the Emery system.
Allowing Leon Bailey to play further wide opened up his game and improved Villa as a result. Diaby Villa are a better outfit that is for sure.
