Aston Villa announced their ticket pricing for the Champions League last week as supporters were left furious with the club.
Aston Villa supporters were looking forward to the Champions League after discovering their eight opponents for the league phase.
Some of their games at Villa Park include mouth-watering ties against Bayern Munich, Celtic and Juventus, but the excitement was somewhat diminished after the club announced the ticket pricing.
Stan Collymore hit out at Villa for their ‘disgraceful’ pricing after it was revealed that for their clash against Bayern, the cost of tickets in some sections was £97.
Whilst that ridiculous price hasn’t stopped the general admission from selling out, Chris Heck has apologised to the Villa fans by blaming FFP for the prices.

Alan Shearer claims Aston Villa’s Champions League ticket prices are ‘disappointing’
The Champions League is the pinnacle of European football. It’s the competition every team in the world wants to be in, and so do the fans.
But, to attend each of their four home games, it could cost fans around £400 to do so and former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer believes that is ‘disappointing’ for the supporters who travel up and down the country every week.
“What is a shame is the Villa ticket prices for their fans in the Champions League,” Shearer wrote in his column for Metro. “I don’t remember Newcastle’s being as expensive as what Aston Villa are charging as far as I’m aware.
“It’s really disappointing when fans have been there through thick and thin, helped the team get over the line, and now when it’s come down to it, the big games in the Champions League, the prices have gone that high. It’s not fair on the fans.”
Unfortunately, since the game against Bayern quickly sold out in anticipation of that night at Villa Park, it’s unlikely the club will alter the prices, which is a huge shame.

Alan Shearer’s Aston Villa vs Everton prediction
Before kicking off their Champions League campaign with a trip to Young Boys on Tuesday, Aston Villa host Everton on Saturday evening.
The Villans have gone unbeaten in their last 10 against the Toffees and Paul Merson thinks Villa will beat Everton this weekend.
Merson is joined in that assumption, as Ian Wright and Roy Keane predict Emery’s men to secure all three points.
Shearer is also in that camp and thinks the visitors could find it tough, and doesn’t see them getting anything out of the game, with Villa recording their first home win of the season.
“It’s another tough one for Everton,” Shearer wrote. “Their confidence must be really, really low after what happened against Bournemouth last time out.
“It will have been a long international break for them, and I think that’ll continue. I don’t see them getting anything out of the game, so I’ll go for a home win.”
