According to reports, Aston Villa are considering a move for Italian forward Mateo Retegui from Boca Juniors.
The 24-year-old striker has enjoyed a brilliant 2023 so far while on-loan at Tigre.
He has racked up an impressive 11 goals in 20 Liga Professional appearances this year, which accounts for 50% of his sides goals.
Retegui has been a complete diamond in the rough in his two years for Tigre which has seen him also develop into a fully fledged Italy international.
For his country, the Argentina born Italian has made three-caps while scoring two goals making him amongst their more prolific players.

Villa want Retegui
According to TNT Sports, “everything indicates” that the striker is set to move to Europe this summer, with Villa appearing to be a “competitor”.
The outlet names Genoa as another side interested, with a €15million (£12.9m) offer reportedly made, with Villa emerging as a new suitor in the “last few hours.”
TNT continue that Unai Emery “wants” the striker and would be willing to offer more than the Serie A side.
It is expected any transfer will be finalised soon, with no side a favourite of yet.
Where would he fit in at Villa
Retegui is purely a number nine and therefore it would be a shock to see him elsewhere.
With the chance Ollie Watkins could play wider as an inside forward, Retegui could be perfect for Villa up front.
He is a natural goal scorer and could prove to be a real bargain if captured for under £20m.
