Aston Villa could sign a winger who has starred at Euro 2024 this summer to improve Unai Emery’s attacking options.
Unai Emery is currently preparing Aston Villa for the Champions League after a remarkable 2023/24 campaign.
The Villans have made a fast start to the transfer window by offloading multiple players to avoid breaching Premier League spending rules while adding an abundance of talent to his squad.
Villa have signed Ian Maatsen, Enzo Barrenchea, Ross Barkley, Lewis Dobbin and Samuel Iling-Junior to plug multiple areas of his squad.
The Spaniard has added a blend of youth and experience to shape his side in the best way possible for an assault at Europe’s elite competition in 2024/25.
Following links to Brajan Gruda and Joao Felix, it appears Emery is looking to beef up his attacking force with further quality and that should enable him to sign a player who starred at Euro 2024.

Aston Villa have shown an interest in Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz
A big international tournament is often the catalyst for a player to put themselves in the shop window and that is exactly why Galatasaray winger Baris Alper Yilmaz has attracted a whole host of attention.
The 24-year-old has been subject to interest from European giants Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United in recent weeks, while in April, Villa were said to be one of the clubs scouting him.
That was after watching the fleet-footed right-winger rip apart the Turkish Super Lig with six goals and seven assists in 37 appearances as Galatasaray wrapped up the league title.
He’s now carried that form onto the international stage for Turkey, starting every single game for his nation as they reached the quarter-finals before being knocked out by the Netherlands on Saturday night.
Yilmaz – who is valued at £21m by his club – has impressed at the tournament, much like his teammates, and could now get a move to a European giant.
Why Aston Villa should sign Baris Alper Yilmaz
Yilmaz is an extremely versatile young player, who spearheaded his side’s attack at Euro 2024 but also operated in a right-wing role.
Emery likes players who can play multiple positions, with the electric forward capable of starting in any role across the front and as a left-back.
Exceptional versatility isn’t the only attribute Yilmaz brings to the party, as former Ilker Puren likened him to former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale due to his strength and speed.
He’s since backed up that claim by showcasing his lightning pace and power to rank inside the top 10% of attackers at Euro 2024 for the top 10% for progressive carries and the top 19% for successful take-ons.
In terms of how he would fit into Emery’s squad, the Spaniard is currently lacking a natural left-sided player and as a right footer, he could perfectly complement Leon Bailey on the opposite flank.
And for a bargain fee of £21m, he’d be capturing a “fabulous” player with huge potential at the age of 24, who can be instrumental to their Champions League assault.
