Aston Villa have signed Kosta Nedeljkovic this week and now Tom Collomosse has suggested that Matty Cash and his future may be uncertain.
It has been a quiet transfer window for Aston Villa so far which has seen them make just one signing at the time of writing.
The surprising transfer of the month has come as Unai Emery brought in youngster, Kosta Nedelkjovic from Red Star Belgrade.
Following the confirmation of his signing, he has since been loaned back to Red Star to see out the campaign in Serbia.
Despite being just 18-years old he has played many times in the Champions League. This includes a tie against Manchester City this campaign.
Given his age and the fee that the Villans have paid for him, he may expect to come in from next season and feature in the starting XI. This could spell trouble for one Villa star in particular.

Nedeljkovic signing could cause Matty Cash issues
It has been an up-and-down campaign for Matty Cash which saw him start the season in electric fashion. He scored two goals away from home against Burnley but his defensive side had seemingly improved.
This has only gotten worse throughout the season and he has been dropped in favour of Ezri Konsa in recent weeks.
With the signing of a new right back, it has been suggested that he may be in trouble moving forward into next season.
When asked about his future, Tom Collomosse suggested that the new signing may end up taking priority over Cash.
On that, he said: “Nedeljkovic is a signing for the future. The 18-year-old will spend the rest of the season on loan at Red Star Belgrade so we will learn much more about him in pre-season. Cash is the more intriguing issue.
“The Poland international has rarely let anybody down during his Villa career but Emery has never trusted him entirely – hence playing Konsa, a centre-back by trade, on the right.”
It is true that Ashley Young was favoured last season by Emery despite him being much older. He was used to the extent that it was a shock he was let go over the summer.
With Nedeljkovic coming in Collomosse was clearly unsure as to where the future of Cash lay beyond this season.
He added: “It would be no surprise if Cash were to move on in the summer, and Villa bought a senior right-back to replace him.”
Emery has often operated with Cash further forward in the right midfield position as opposed to at right back. This potential move away for the ex-Nottingham Forest man does make sense should his minutes diminish.
