Liverpool have turned their attention to Aston Villa star, Boubacar Kamara, as they look to build their new look midfield.

According to Foot Mecarto, Kamara is in Liverpool’s mind as they appear to have missed out on Romeo Lavia and Moises Caiceido.

Jurgen Klopp’s side feel that the Frenchman’s versatility makes him a useful option, being able to deputise as a centre back if needed.

Kamara is one of the Villains’ most important players but with one of the biggest sides in the league interested, could his head be turned?

Should Aston Villa sell Boubacar Kamara?

The word “no” has never been said so quickly.

On a free transfer last season, he is one of Villa’s best signings in recent memory.

He is a unique player that will not be easy to replace.

From midfield, last season, he made 3 tackles and 2 blocks per game while also being one of Villa’s best ball progressors.

The pairing with Douglas Luiz, flying in tandem with John McGinn is one of the most important aspects of Unai Emery’s team.

The Villains are, as showed with Jack Grealish, able to hold out for the right fee their players are worth.

Despite coming in on a free, Villa would easily demand upwards of £50 million.

With Liverpool failing to match transfer fees for Jude Bellingham and Romeo Lavia this season, who knows if they will pay up for Kamara.
