Aston Villa are now planning to start life as a Champions League club.

These are the moments fans dreamt of and now they can look forward to playing against some of the very best teams in the world.

The summer transfer window is open and Aston Villa have been one of the busiest teams of the window so far, even if Euro 2024 and Copa America have halted overall business.

One of the names fans crave is Juventus forward, Federico Chiesa, with clubs in England interested in the Italy star, as Graeme Bailey has exclusively told Aston Villa News.

The 26-year-old has 12 months left on his Juve contract and you feel something has got to give, in regards to leaving this summer or signing a new contract.

Aston Villa sold Douglas Luiz to Juventus this summer, with Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea moving in the other direction, so from that perspective, the relationship is pretty healthy between both clubs.

But there does seem to be some strong encouragement for Villa that they can get another deal done for a Juve player.

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey added that Chiesa is available at a ‘surprisingly low price’ and he is ‘another forward Villa are looking at’.

Last season, the versatile forward scored nine goals and assisted three in Serie A, including helping the Old Lady win the Coppa Italia.

Not only that, he has the experience of playing at the highest level, in pressured environments and with 13 appearances in the Champions League – six goals and two assists during those matches.

Graeme Bailey has told us, with Villa playing in Europe’s elite competition, he feels they can probably ‘pull off’ this signing.

Aston Villa’s transfer interest in Federico Chiesa

“Fascinating player, he is available at a surprisingly low price,” said Graeme Bailey. “He plays on that right, clearly, it seems that another forward is something that Villa are looking at.

“I do know that the player does have interest from England and clubs are being made aware of his situation. Villa being a Champions League club, they are probably one of the sides who could pull it off.”

Federico Chiesa would transform under Unai Emery

Villa should do everything in their power to secure this deal because it would be morale-boosting ahead of the new campaign.

Chiesa is very different to Luiz, but the club has still lost one of their best players and a key member of the side.

Bringing in a rising superstar like Chiesa would result in many fans quickly forgetting about the Brazilian who has just left them.

Plus, Emery has shown time and time again, just look at what Ollie Watkins is doing for England at Euro 2024, that if you can get on board with him, then he can help transform your game.
