Aston Villa have already parted ways with several first-team stars this summer, with another possible departure on the horizon.
Despite making their presence in the transfer window known this summer, Unai Emery and Monchi don’t seem to be satisfied with their work just yet.
Aston Villa have welcomed seven new faces to the club, as well as offloading a host of players including first team duo Moussa Diaby and Douglas Luiz.
After bidding farewell to the pair, Emery will be hopeful of retaining the majority of his first team squad however, one star has now been linked to an exit.

Aston Villa transfer stance on Cameron Archer made clear amid Bournemouth interest
Emery has a number of issues to resolve in his front line, one of which being where he stands with Cameron Archer.
The striker was sold to Sheffield United last summer however, returned to Villa procedurally due to a relegation clause inserted into his contract.
Now, the Midlands club have a decision to make on whether to keep or re-sell the Bodymoor Heath graduate.
Speaking exclusively to Aston Villa News, HITC journalist Graeme Bailey shared his understanding of Villa’s ‘expectation’ with Archer.

“From what I am told, Villa like Archer a lot, but the expectation is for him to leave this summer, and there is a lot of interest.”
The transfer expert went on to explain that Premier League rivals Bournemouth are ‘considering’ making a move for Archer as a possible replacement for Spurs-linked Dominic Solanke.
“Bournemouth like him a lot, I can confirm that as they are looking at replacing Dominic Solanke this summer. Archer is one of the options they are considering.”
Archer’s future should depend on Jhon Duran’s plans
There are positives to the Englishman generating interest from the Premier League, with the Cherries having the funds to pay Villa an appropriate fee to purchase the youngster.
That being said, Emery should properly consider his options before making a final decision on the forward’s future, with Jhon Duran’s stance at Villa also up in the air.
Should the Colombian leave B6, the Spaniard would be smart to keep hold of Archer, whose finishing has been impressive throughout pre-season.
It’s a dilemma for Emery to resolve, with there being plenty of pros and cons to Archer’s future, being a player who has a host of potential that just needs the right conditions to be unlocked.
Only time will tell if Bournemouth make contact with the Midlands club over a potential move for the Englishman, whose future is difficult to call at this moment in time.
