Aston Villa have been linked to Real Madrid ace Brahim Diaz with Carlo Ancelotti reportedly willing to sell the Spaniard.
With the injury to Emi Buendia at the start of the season, Aston Villa have been on the lookout for an attacking midfielder.
Nicolo Zaniolo was signed on loan this summer. Unai Emery believes the Italian will serve a better purpose further forward.
With Jacob Ramsey still out with a problem sustained on international duty, Villa have managed well despite injuries.

With that being said, the January transfer window poses and opportunity to add to the squad and improve depth.
Who is Brahim Diaz?
The Spanish international began his career with Manchester City but only ever made five league appearances for the Blues.
Despite this, he did score two goals in the EFL Cup as he saw off Fulham in November 2018.
Months later he joined Real Madrid in a deal worth roughly £15 million and signed a deal until 2025.
After a year in the Madrid team, he made a switch on loan to AC Milan. He went on to make 91 appearances for the Rossoneri and score 13 goals.

Despite being around for many seasons, he is still only 24-years old and is looking to make an impact at the Bernabeu.
He only signed a new contract in the summer. Despite that, it appears that Ancelotti will let him go this January or summer.
How much would he cost?
There are reports suggesting that both Villa and West Ham are interested in securing the attacker’s signature.
After returning to the Spanish capital, he has struggled to find a place in the first team. With Federico Valverde and Jude Bellingham vying for the same position that’s nothing to be ashamed of.

A fee of £17 million is rumoured to be enough to secure the signature of the Spaniard in the summer.
It has been said that if Diaz’s minutes don’t pick up then he will demand to leave.
At that price, he would represent great value and as a midfield and attacking option, he could be ideal for Villa’s system.
