Aston Villa are casting their eye over a third Juventus talent of the summer with the club now enquiring about another player from the Italian giants.

Unai Emery has already welcomed the signings of both Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea from Juventus this week.

Iling-Junior and Barrenechea both made the move to Aston Villa as part of the negotiations that saw Douglas Luiz head to Juventus in a sale necessary to comply with the 30th June PSR deadline.

With it appearing that Villa successfully negotiated that deadline with the sales of Tim Iroegbunam and Omari Kellyman, as well as Luiz, Emery can shift his focus to bringing players in ahead of a Champions League campaign.

Aston Villa could return to Juventus for Dean Huijsen

Despite having already seen Iling-Junior and Barrenechea swap the black and white of Juventus for the claret and blue of Villa, the club could be set to look once more to Turin for a new signing.

That is according to journalist Mirko Di Natale, who confirmed on ‘X’ that Villa are keeping tabs on Juventus defender Dean Huijsen.

Di Natale posted: ‘The last club to have informed itself about the situation linked to Dean Huijsen is Aston Villa, the dialogues have not been detailed at the moment. It should be remembered that the relations between the two clubs, given the recent deal, are excellent’.

As Di Natale highlights, the relationship between Villa and Juve is a good one as both sides will feel they have benefitted from the transfers of Luiz, Iling-Junior and Barrenechea and this could give Villa an advantage in a move for Huijsen.

If Villa are to sign Huijsen this summer they would be buying a talented player who has the potential to be a top centre-back, but at 19 there are question marks around whether he would be ready to step into the side just yet.

Having played for both Netherlands and Spain at youth level, the youngster is an accomplished ball-playing central defender but is understandably a little lightweight currently as he is yet to fill out his 6ft 5in frame.

The fact that Huijsen is equally comfortable with either foot makes him a real asset in build-up, which is likely to be key to Emery being interested in the youngster.

The defender has made just one appearance for Juve, but spent last season on loan at AS Roma where he played 14 games in all competitions and even popped up with two goals.

If Juventus are minded to cash in on Huijsen this summer, they could just find Villa at the front of the queue for his services.
