Aston Villa forward, Jhon Duran is said to be of transfer interest to AC Milan and a January move may be on the cards.
It has been a tough season for Jhon Duran. The Colombian has gone the whole Premier League season so far without starting a game.
There have been some reports of unrest between the young forward and Unai Emery which may have contributed to this.
With that being said, the striker has managed to score four goals in all competitions this season. Two have come in the Premier League and two in the Europa Conference League. This despite featuring from just six starts and the other 15 coming from the bench.

Now that the January transfer window is open, the Villans are looking for attacking reinforcements. Despite this, Duran has been linked with a move away from B6 this month.
AC Milan interest in Jhon Duran
Despite a lack of game time for Aston Villa so far this season, the £18m youngster has now been linked to AC Milan. This certainly comes as a surprise but given the potential fans knows he have, it does make some sense.
In a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, there have been suggestions that the Serie A giants are looking to sign a forward. This has seen Duran come up as a potential option this winter.
On that, he said: “The Rossoneri are on the hunt for a striker. Jhon Durán is a profile that is liked and has been proposed to Milan. The 2003-born player, owned by Aston Villa, is a profile that pleases. However, the Colombian is a non-EU player and Milan, if he decides to proceed, would first have to release a non-EU player to free up the slot.”
It appears that Milan may hold interest in Duran but, at the time of writing, it wouldn’t be allowed for them to sign him. According to Reuters: “Italian clubs are only permitted to register two non-EU players each season.”
As a result of that, there would need to be a sale by The Rossoneri for the Villans to be able to let Duran move to Milan.
It must be said that if Villa don’t sign another striker, they can not let Duran go. Although he doesn’t get many starting minutes, he can make a great impact off the bench. Just looking at the Burnley game, he came on and secured the match-winning penalty.
If another option doesn’t come in, Emery and Duran have to put any differences aside and look to the future. There is no doubting the quality that the Colombian has, he just has to realise it.
