Aston Villa are edging closer to completing one transfer deal as the player in question has been spotted in the UK.

Monchi and Unai Emery have endured a rapid start to the summer transfer window, with there a race against time to solve Aston Villa’s PSR concerns

Villa have until June 30th to aid their financial woes, with one method of relief being the sales of Douglas Luiz and Jhon Duran.

The Brazilian is the most likely to depart first, with a swap deal with Juventus gathering pace.

After a lot of speculation, it will be Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea who will arrive at Villa as part of the transfer, with Weston McKennie leaving the frame.

Samuel Iling-Junior spotted in the UK ahead of proposed Aston Villa transfer

While there were doubts over McKennie’s side of the deal, it has always been a green light for Iling-Junior, who looks set to become a Villan.

The Chelsea academy graduate agreed terms with the Midlands club prior to McKennie’s axing from the transfer, with the Englishman now poised for a homecoming.

Ahead of the proposed transfer, Iling-Junior has been spotted in the UK, as UEFA A coach Saul Isaksson-Hurst was pictured with the winger partaking in a training session.

Isaksson-Hurst, known on Instagram as myfootballcoach1, posted a reel of the 20-year-old putting the work in on home soil as part of a one-to-one session.

The performance coach has worked with many Premier League figures over the years, including Phil Foden and Chelsea ace Noni Madueke.

Iling-Junior signing is an exciting part of the Douglas Luiz deal

For all of the disappointment that Villa fans will feel from Luiz’s pending departure, there is something to get excited about with Iling-Junior.

The 20-year-old, who is valued at £13m by the Italian club, made the leap from Stamford Bridge in 2020 and has since risen through the ranks at Juventus, a path that very few English players take.

Iling-Junior was described as an ‘assist machine’ for his form in Juventus’ youth team by Eurosport Italy journalist Michele Neri, showing progression that saw him become a sporadic part of the first team last term.

The winger secured 24 appearances in Serie A for Juve over 2023/24, where he contributed to one goal and two assists, showing glimpses of the exciting wing play he can offer to Emery’s side.

Given how much the Villa boss has improved a host of players already at Villa Park, Iling-Junior should be excited to work with the Spaniard ahead of his proposed move.
