Aston Villa won’t be as busy as some clubs today, however there are still multiple potential deals that could transpire.

Villa have already had a hugely successful summer making their deadline day more relaxed than the likes of Wolves.

Youri Tielemans, Pau Torres, Moussa Diaby and Nicolo Zaniolo have all arrived as top class recruits who immediately upgraded the team.

Therefore a quiet September 1st was always expected for the Villains, however potential outgoings could still be aplenty as Unai Emery looks to streamline his squad.

So what is the latest with Villa’s transfer dealings and what could potentially happen.

Potential Villa outgoings

Philippe Coutinho is one player believed to be on the way out, with a move to Qatari side Al Duhail likely for him, as they are said to be ‘closing in’.

This move was made all the more likely by Emery’s comments last night, he said: “Philippe Coutinho has a possibility to leave.”

Keinan Davis is another name set to depart the club with Serie A side Udinese identifying him as their Beto replacement.

Jaden Philogene should also be on the move with a £5m move to Hull City expected.

One player not leaving will be Lucas Digne who was linked with a move away, until Emery confirmed he will remain last night.

Potential incomings

Villa have their options slim in terms of potential incomings with just one rumoured to be on the cards.

Clement Lenglet should have his deal confirmed today as he joins Villa on a season long loan.

This follows his unsuccessful spell with Spurs last season, but he will be a key part in Emery’s side with Tyrone Mings injured.

Lenglet we expect will be the only addition today.
