Aston Villa midfielder, Youri Tielemans has opened up ahead of the game at Villa Park against Legia Warsaw this evening.
Tonight Aston Villa welcomes Legia Warsaw to Villa Park with both sides looking to secure their place in the next round. Both sides have won three games each in the Europa Conference League, but the Poles occupy first place on head-to-head.
In the Premier League, it has been a great season for Unai Emery’s side as they currently sit in fourth place after losing just three matches.
The league is put to the side as European competition returns to the fixture list this week. A point would be enough to see both sides through to the next round of the Conference League. First place is desired, it will lead to an easier draw.

Rotation is likely to be used by Emery in this one although the side should have a familiar look to help win the game.
What has Youri Tielemans said?
Youri Tielemans has had a resurgence in recent weeks following a slow start to life at Villa Park. Despite a great preseason, he wasn’t given many opportunities but took his chance against AZ Alkmaar.
After coming in for his first Premier League start against Fulham, fans were left thinking that he had to play more. Despite not starting against Spurs, he came on at halftime and was easily one of the best on the pitch. He set up the eventual winner and is likely to start the Conference League game against Legia.
Discussing the game with Express and Star, the Belgian has opened up about the Polish opposition and their style. On that, he said: “We play at home and I know we have our fans behind us. Over there it was going to be a tough atmosphere but then tomorrow, it will be tough for them.
“I think the intensity we put in their place wasn’t enough and we got hit on the counter three times. We have to manage that better and we have to be aware of that tomorrow.”
Against Legia away from home the Villans were quite poor and were a let down if truth be told. Their fans were completely mad and deafening which made the task at hand very difficult.
The return fixture in B6 is going to be easier for the Villans to manage and Emery is hopeful of a win and a place in the next round. Villa would like the chance to play some fringe players and youngsters in the final game against Zrjinski if possible.
