Joao Felix has been linked with Aston Villa as he searches for a new club following his exile from Atletico Madrid.
The Portugese star struggled on-loan at Chelsea for the second half of last season. This poor form resulted in Mauricio Pochettinho deciding against making his stay at Stamford Bridge permanent.
Felix has drawn interest from across the Premier League as multiple clubs clearly think they can get the best from him. Manchester United and Newcastle have also been linked with a move for Felix.
However the 23-year-old has made his intentions to stay in Spain clear as he revealed that despite interest from Villa, he aims to stay in the Champions League – targeting a move to La Liga champions Barcelona.
The forward revealed joining the Camp Nou outfit would be a ‘dream come true’ for him.

Felix sends transfer plea
Felix spoke on his future with GOAL reporting his desperation for a Barcelona move.
When asked about the Spanish giants, Felix replied, “I’d love to.
“Barcelona has always been my first choice and I’d love to join Barca. It was always my dream since I was a kid. If it happens, it will be a dream come true for me.”
This statement of intent might come as a shock, with little to no noise around Barcelona wanting to move for him, and also the unlikely scenario Atletico would sell to a direct rival.
Felix has been training with his clubs academy since last week when preseason started.
Felix’s future appears to be up in the air, however a Villa Park move could be unlikely.
