A search is underway for Aston Villa ‘heroine’ after someone helped to save a man’s life in the Europa Conference League semi-final match against Olympiakos.
At Villa Park on Thursday night, the actions of one lady helped to save a man’s life and prevent a potential tragedy.
During the Europa Conference League match, the Holte End Lower L2 was evacuated at half-time so medics could attend to one fan who had a medical emergency.
It was reported that the fan had suffered a cardiac arrest at the stadium. However, the bravery and skill of one ‘heroine’ helped to aid the man until further professionals could arrive.
On Friday, it was reported by the supporter’s dad that his son is now ‘doing well’ in hospital thanks to the lady’s actions.
Father desperate to find Villa Park ‘angel’ who saved his son’s life

On Friday, the father took to X, formally Twitter, to update worried fans on his son’s condition.
He said: “Thank you to the unbelievable messages of support. Josh is doing well. All thanks to the lady I believe called Heidi Elliot. I am trying to connect with her so any help would be fantastic. She is our angel”
Her actions have been hailed throughout the Villa community. Many have called the lady a ‘heroine’ for her quick and vital thinking with further claims now being put forward for her to have a ‘season ticket for life’.
Now, the aim for the father is to find his son’s saviour. Thankfully, this task shouldn’t be too difficult.
The lady is believed to be Heidi Elliot, a trainee paramedic, who is a season ticket holder in the Holte End.
Upon seeing the incident, she jumped over several rows of seats in front of her to help save the man’s life.
On Friday morning, she was interviewed on BBC WM where she described what happened on the night.
Here, she went on to say ‘how she had to help’ after immediately noticing something was wrong.
After performing CPR until the paramedics arrived, one segment of her interview encouraged people to learn this skill.
She said via Birmingham Mail: “I think the main thing that I’d push from this whole experience is to encourage everyone to look at the British Heart Foundation. If people haven’t had the training, it’s a life-saving skill and you never know when you’ll need to use it.”
Heidi Elliot’s actions at Villa Park deserve national recognition

For a fan in the stand to help save a man’s life at a game is incredible. Hopefully, over the weekend, the father can get in touch with Heidi Elliot to thank her for her life-saving actions.
On top of this, Villa should also recognise what the trainee paramedic did at the match.
Calls for her to receive a lifetime season ticket are exactly what she deserves for her amazing work.
Hopefully, her message will continue to grow and more people will learn CPR over the next year which could help save more lives.
