Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is set to make 10 changes to his starting XI as his side take on Aston Villa in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, according to a report.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Wolves are set to unleash their youngsters at Villa Park, with a place in the quarter-finals in the EFL Cup up for stake.
It is said that with the fixtures piling up for Wolves, a number of youngsters, including 16-year-old Chem Campbell are in line for their debuts.
This could be very interesting from Villa’s perspective because they will now be backing themselves, even more, in taking their rivals out of the competition.
In previous rounds, Smith has made changes to his starting XI, as both sets of fans will more than likely see two completely different teams in action.
If both managers do give back-up players and youth a chance then the players on the bench, and how strong the bench is, may have a bearing on the result of the game.
It isn’t a surprise that changes will be made to this game because both teams also have big Premier League matches coming up at the weekend.
Villa host the current Premier League leaders Liverpool, whilst Wolves will take on Arsenal, with the North London club also be in EFL Cup action on Wednesday night against the Reds.
