Aston Villa are keen on bringing Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia to Villa Park during the January transfer window, according to a report.
Sky Sports have claimed that Villa want to strengthen their attacking line when the transfer window re-opens as they feel a potentially big price tag on Buendia’s head may prevent them from securing his services.
Both Villa and Norwich City were promoted to the Premier League in the summer – Dean Smith’s side came through via the play-offs, whilst Daniel Farke’s side were champions of the Championship.

Whilst Teemu Pukki got all the plaudits for scoring the high volume of goals he netted last season, someone like Buendia went under the radar as he was one of the top-performing creating midfielders in the second tier.
Villa fans are keen for the club to add some bite to the final third when the transfer window re-opens, as a potential move for Buendia might divide opinion.
He isn’t the name or player Villa need, but he would still add depth and quality to Smith’s forward line if he were to make the switch.
Perhaps moving for a more experienced head or just an experienced performer is the best way forward for Villa, who are just hovering about the relegation zone.
