Despite being born and raised in England, Cash plays internationally for Poland. The defender made his debut back in 2021 and has collected 14 caps for his country. Cash has even netted a goal, in a 2-2 draw against the Netherlands.
The 26-year-old was able to do this due to his mother’s parents being born in Gdansk, Poland. He could therefore apply for a Polish passport which was approved. Speaking about the process in 2021, Cash was thrilled to be able to play for Poland.

Cash does not have a Polish name because his father is English. Cash’s Polish relatives come from his mother’s side and she took her husband’s last name. The defender’s grandfather, who was Polish, had the name Ryszard Tomaszewski.

Cash came through the academies of Wycombe and FAB Academy before moving to Nottingham Forest in 2014. From here, he rose through the ranks and earned his first professional deal.
He was then sent out on loan to Dagenham and Redbridge before returning to the East Midlands to make his debut in the 2016/17 season. Cash made 141 appearances for Forest before departing to Villa in 2020.
