Aston Villa’s first five Premier League fixtures

Villa faces a mixed start to the upcoming Premier League season. Emery’s side will once again play away on the opening day for the 11th time in a row which will be quickly followed by a tricky home tie against Arsenal.

You can explore Villa’s first five Premier League games below.

West Ham vs Aston Villa

Villa’s first game of the season will be up against the Hammers. Emery’s side will once again travel to the London Stadium where they drew 1-1 in the previous campaign. VAR controversially saved the Birmingham outfit in the fixture late on in their last meeting.

The game is set to be played on August 17.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal

Villa’s first home game of the Premier League season will be up against title-hopefuls Arsenal. The Gunners just missed out on the Premier League trophy in the last campaign on the final day.

Villa were a big reason for their demise, as Emery’s side did the double over the capital club over the course of the 2023/24 season.

The game is set to be played on August 24.

Leicester City vs Aston Villa

The Champions of the Championship will be Villa’s next test. Leicester made an immediate return to the top flight after their relegation during the 2022/23 campaign.

However, it remains to be seen if the Foxes are able to adapt quickly to their new division or if they will struggle once more.

The game is set to be played on August 31.

Aston Villa vs Everton

Villa will return to their home ground after the international break with the club set to take on Everton. The Toffees were battered when they last visited Villa Park with Emery’s side overseeing a 4-0 victory.

This match is set to take place on September 14.

Aston Villa vs Wolves

The final match of Villa’s first five fixtures is a derby. Emery’s side will welcome local rivals Wolves to Villa Park hoping to replicate their 2-0 win from last season.

The match is set to be played on September 21.
