Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher are backing Aston Villa to beat West Ham United on Sunday at Villa Park, as they told the Overlap.
Domestic football returns this weekend after a two-week break due to international football.
Ollie Watkins, who earned a recall to the England squad, scored the winner against Australia in a friendly, before he was an unused substitute against Italy.
That win against the Italians secured England’s qualification for Euro 2024 and it’s a ticket that Aston Villa’s main man up top will desperately want.
One thing is for sure, he is knocking on the door and has showcased serious improvement under Unai Emery, who has him cooking like never before.
With four goals to his name from eight Premier League games, including a hat-trick against Brighton, Watkins will be hoping to continue that against David Moyes’ in-form West Ham United.
And it’s a game Sky Sports pundit duo Neville and Carragher are backing Villa to win, as they told The Overlap.
Villa v West Ham United
“Villa and West Ham, Super Sunday,” said Neville.
“Are we going for a Villa win?” To which Carragher responded: “Yes, we are going for a Villa win.”
Neville added: “I have it 2-0.”

Chasing 11 straight wins at home…
It’s pretty incredible to think that the team has managed to win ten home games on the bounce and is edging ever closer to breaking the Premier League’s all-time record.
West Ham won’t be an easy task, simply because they have got the better of us since our promotion.
Not only that, after losing Declan Rice, they have spent pretty well and are, as a result, performing very well, both in the league and in Europe.
But if Villa want to continue to dance near the top of the table, then we need to win games like this.
