Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has gone on record to show his happiness for former teammate Moussa Diaby after his move to Aston Villa.
Frimpong had one of the best seasons of his career last season for Leverkusen, scoring eight and assisting seven. All from right back.
Talking to Marca, he discussed himself, his team and his manager amongst other things.
He was asked about his flourishing partnership with Frenchman, Diaby, and how he felt about losing him.

With a partnership as successful as they formed over the past few seasons, it may be hard for Frimpong moving forward.
There was no hard feelings from the Dutchman however: “I am happy that he has gone to the Premier League, which, in my opinion, is the best League in the world.
“Of course I will miss him, but he will miss me too.”
After a devastating volley on his debut in a dour affair, there is lots for the Villa faithful to be excited about.

Describing the two’s link up last season the right back said: “He is very fast and electric, we played by heart.
“He assisted me on most of my goals and vice versa.”
It appears that Villa have themselves a star who will be a key man as they build up the league.
