Aston Villa are set to make millions at the end of their campaign thanks to their Premier League form.

Villa have been on fire throughout the 2023/24 campaign. Under the guidance of Unai Emery, the Birmingham outfit looks set to return to the Champions League next season thanks to multiple sensational performances.

As a result, Villa should receive a substantial amount of cash which will reduce their FFP concerns.

Villa are already set to earn millions thanks to their Europa Conference League campaign where they have reached the semi-finals.

Now, on top of this, Emery’s side are likely to receive another big boost with the Premier League set to award the club a substantial amount of prize money.

At the end of each Premier League season, each team is awarded prize money for their position in the table.

Last season, this stood at £3.1 million per position according to the Metro. As a result, Villa earned £43.6 million for their seventh-placed finish in the 2022/23 campaign.

However, this is now expected to grow exponentially this year. Villa looks all but certain to finish fourth. The Villians are seven points clear of Spurs with the Birmingham outfit having two games remaining.

While Spurs do have a game in hand, a win for Emery’s side in either of their two remaining games will guarantee Champions League football no matter what Spurs do.

If Villa sees this task out, they will pocket £52.9 million in Premier League prize money, a £9.3 million increase from last season.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Aston Villa made a loss of £120 million in 2023, the highest in Europe.

This has caused concerns that some of Villa’s first team will be forced to leave Villa Park to help raise funds

However, the addition of this extra prize money will certainly help the club. This extra £9.3 million in addition to the money earned from the Europa Conference League will help to ease these concerns.

It means that Villa have already earned nearly £20 million that they did not make last season, without even selling a player this summer.

As a result, this will no doubt ease the club’s concerns about forced departures in order to balance the books.

Now, all Villa need to do is ensure they get one final victory this campaign to see this task over the line.
