Aston Villa are set to receive part of the funds from the FIFA Club Benefit Programme, which has been distributed across 440 clubs around the world, based upon player participation in the 2022 tournament in Qatar.
Villa will receive $834,058 (£638,283) because of the exploits of four of their players: Emi Martinez, Jan Bednarek, Matty Cash and Leander Dendoncker.
Martinez brought the most in, having won the tournament with Argentina whilst also picking up the golden glove award, helping the club receive $361,364 (£276,542) alone.
The report from FIFA highlighted that Villa were 14th highest out of 46 clubs in the English FA in terms of money received, ahead of the likes of Everton, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United, but below the likes of Arsenal, Wolves and Leicester, who had more players participating.
How did Villa’s players fare at the World Cup?
Martinez was the obvious star, standing out in the dramatic final as he saved a number of penalties during the shootout, as well as making one of the saves of the tournament in the final seconds against France.
His heroics during penalties saw Argentina beat the Netherlands en route to their victory, and he ended the tournament as one of his nation’s key players alongside Lionel Messi.

Bednarek and Cash reached the last-16 with Poland, where they were knocked out by finalists France, with Cash starting the final game and Bednarek appearing as a substitute.
Dendoncker started as Belgium crashed out in the group stages in embarrassing fashion, with just one victory from their three games against Croatia, Canada and Morocco.
Villa summer signings Pau Torres and Youri Tielemans appeared at the tournament, but their old clubs Villarreal and Leicester will receive the benefit funds for their contributions.
