Aston Villa transfer rumours – Villians in active contact over Joao Felix

One player that Villa have been linked with throughout recent months is Joao Felix. The Portuguese international has returned to Atletico Madrid after his most recent loan spell at Barcelona.
With no signs he will live up to his potential in Spain, it is believed that Emery is seeking to unlock his ability at Villa.
Recently, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the saga. The journalist stated that contact over a potential move is ‘active’ with Emery viewing the attacker as a ‘dream’ signing this summer.

Aston Villa eye potential Matty Cash competitor

Villa have not been afraid to dip into the transfer market this summer. The club have brought in numerous players to add to their ranks, most recently, Amadou Onana from Everton.
One area that has been a little shaky so far in 2024 is Villa’s defence. The club struggled to keep clean sheets in the latter part of the 2023/24 campaign which has resulted in Emery dipping into the market to reinforce this area.
Now, Villa may look to bring in another defender. The club have been linked with Lorenz Assignon who spent last season at Burnley. It is believed that Villa will need to compete with Roma to complete the transfer, with Rennes wanting £8.4 million for the right-back.
