Jack Grealish has heaped praise on Aston Villa and their supporters after Dean Smith’s side created a new club record by winning 10 league games on the bounce.

On Monday, Villa, who have now secured their playoff spot, beat relegation-threatened Millwall 1-0 on home soil, with Jonathan Kodjia netting the only goal of the game.

After the match, Grealish, who played a key part in his team picking up the three points, posted this message on his personal Twitter account.

Smith’s side weren’t at their absolute best on Easter Monday, but then again they didn’t need to be because Neil Harris’ side didn’t really cause them any trouble.

The intensity of the game wasn’t that high, which would have suited the home team because it keeps them ticking as they head into the playoffs.

On Sunday, Villa will travel to Yorkshire to take on Leeds United at Elland Road where they will be looking to make it 11 wins out of 11.

During the reverse fixture in December, Smith’s side were beaten 3-2 when Kemar Roofe netted a late winner after helping his team recover from 2-0 down.

Playmaker Grealish didn’t feature in that match because he was on the sidelines with an injury, but he is back in the fold now and raring to prove his worth.
