Aston Villa are aiming to put their poor form behind them on Saturday when they take on Premier League leaders Liverpool at Anfield.
It has been a difficult past few games for Unai Emery. The Claret and Blue side have now suffered three defeats on the bounce in three different competitions.
On Wednesday night, Villa’s performance against Club Brugge was blasted as they suffered their first defeat in the Champions League this season.
Now, they face arguably their toughest task this season as they travel to Anfield to take on an in-form Liverpool side.
Emery has already issued one big challenge to his Villa squad ahead of the Liverpool game but to get a win, they will need to finally end one terrible streak that has lasted 18 games.
Aston Villa have lost 16 of their last 18 games away to the Premier Leauge leaders

It is no secret that Villa have improved massively in recent years. Emery has transformed the team from relegation candidates into one of the best sides in the country.
Despite this, Villa are yet to break one terrible record that has stood for too long.
According to Aston Villa Statto, Villa have lost 16 of their last 18 games away to the team that has been top of the Premier League at the start of the day. This includes losing their last nine games in a row on this run.
With Liverpool currently top going into Saturday, it presents another chance for the club to finally put an end to an awful streak.
Unai Emery needs to ensure Aston Villa get a result at Anfield
Villa need a reaction after an awful last few games. Champions League qualification is no doubt the goal again this season.
However, if the club wants to achieve this goal, they cannot remain on this awful run of form for long.
Going into the international break, it would be a big boost if the Birmingham outfit could come away with at least a draw at Anfield.
It is more than plausible given the performances fans have witnessed in recent months but Villa will need to be at their best to ensure this happens.
