Everything you need to know about the third fixture of Aston Villa’s pre-season against Columbus Crew including the team news, how to watch and more.

Aston Villa breezed past Walsall and Slovakian side Spartak Trnava in their first two matches of pre-season but after jetting off to the United States, the preparations will now begin to ramp up.

Unai Emery’s men face three assignments on their US tour, starting with a clash against MLS side Columbus Crew before playing RB Leipzig and Club America.

Following their comfortable win over Spartak, Emery has since welcomed a new face to his Villa squad, having signed Amadou Onana for £50 million from Everton.

The Belgian joined the likes of Ian Maatsen, Ross Barkley, Jaden Philogene, Enzo Barrenchea, Samuel Iling-Junior, Lewis Dobbin and Ross Barkey to become their seventh sighing of the summer.

While most supporters are unable to attend the match in the States, they will still be able to see some of their new signings in action as Aston Villa News highlights how supporters can watch the game.

Seven players remain unavailable for Unai Emery

Whilst supporters get the beauty of seeing their new signings in action and the likes of Morgan Rogers and Kosta Nedeljkovic continuing to flourish, Emery remains without multiple of his first-team stars.

Ollie Watkins has been granted extra time off after helping England reach the Euro 2024 final while goalkeeper Emi Martinez and striker Jhon Duran are in a similar position having reached the Copa America final.

Martinez and Watkins will be eager to catch up with their Villa teammates once they return from their extended break, whereas Duran could be on his way out of Villa Park amid interest from West Ham.

Luckily for Emery, there remain no fresh injury concerns following their trip to Slovakia as Boubacar Kamara, Tyrone Mings and Jacob Ramsey are still sidelined and working their way back to full fitness.
