Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has once again explained the reasoning for Jhon Duran being absent from the matchday squad.
For the second Premier League game in a row, Aston Villa striker, Jhon Duran has missed out on the matchday squad.
Against West Ham United, Unai Emery confirmed that the Colombian missed out due to injury.
Despite featuring against AZ Alkmaar in the week, the striker once again missed out on a Premier League matchday squad.

What has Unai Emery about Jhon Duran?
It has been reported that the Villa forward has been missing due to a toe infection.
With that being said, deleting all content about the club from his social media is a point of concern.
Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, he reinforced what he said after the West Ham win. On that, Emery said: “I spoke with him about everything and he told me it was not relevant and for me, it is not relevant.
“They can do with their social media respecting everything, everything they want.”
The Villa faithful have trust in Emery and as a result, are unlikely to question what is going on right now.
The Spaniard did suggest that the striker did need to focus on his football, however.
Missing once again
It has been a point of concern for Villa fans following the disappearance of the club from the socials of Duran.
Since joining last January, the Colombian has been very active on social media when it comes to posts and live streams.
He had been known for responding to fans’ requests as well, leaving him as a well-loved figure with fans.
With this move to a media blackout, fans are left fearing the worst. This is especially true with the January transfer window coming up.
Hopefully, he can resolve whatever his differences are and refind some form.
