Aston Villa have suffered a blow in the build-up to their Premier League tie against Man United as Unai Emery confirms multiple first-teamers are doubts.
Villa are aiming to pick up yet another victory on the weekend as they face out-of-form Man United at Villa Park.
For Unai Emery’s side, it presents a golden chance for the club to push further up the table before the international break.
However, ahead of Sunday’s clash, Emery confirmed that multiple first-teamers could miss the game through injuries.
Amadou Onana – injury latest

Adamou Onana has been a sensational signing for Villa since joining from Everton in the summer.
The midfielder has netted twice in six Premier League games and also scored in the Champions League.
With Douglas Luiz leaving Villa for Juventus in the summer, Onana has seamlessly filled the boots of the Brazilian.
However, going into the Man United game, Emery has confirmed that there is a chance that he might not be fit for the tie.
He said: “He’s a doubt, but I think that he will be available because it is not a really serious injury.”
Expected return: Man United (October 6)
Jacob Ramsey – injury latest

Jacob Ramsey has consistently struggled with injuries over recent years. The Villa academy graduate missed a large number of games in the 2023/24 campaign due to injuries.
However, this campaign things seemed to have turned a corner for the midfielder as he returned to fitness in the summer.
Yet, in Villa’s 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday, Ramsey was forced off the field with yet another injury causing concerns amongst the Villa Park faithful.
Now, ahead of the Man United fixture, Emery has confirmed that Ramsey is a ‘doubt’ and it will be a ‘tight call’ if he is available.
Expected return: Fulham (19 October)
Leon Bailey – injury latest

Another first-teamer who could be missing from the Man United home is Leon Bailey.
The Jamaican international has struggled with injuries throughout the 2024/25 campaign with Bailey having an injury scare in early September.
Now, Bailey has picked up another knock with Emery also claiming that ‘it will be a tight call’ to see if he is fit in time for the game.
Expected return: Fulham (19 October)
