A possibly Champions League-defining heavyweight clash between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur awaits everyone next Sunday at Villa Park.
Unai Emery’s side head into the game five points clear of their rivals, who have a game in hand, after they both won their respective fixtures on Saturday.
Tottenham came back from behind to beat Crystal Palace 3-1, whilst Aston Villa left it late to win at Luton Town, thanks to goals from Ollie Watkins and Lucas Digne.
The man scoring the goals has got many people talking because he is having an absolutely blinding season in front of goal, including the supporters of his next opponents.
The Midlands side beat Spurs 2-1 during the reverse fixture in November, with Ollie Watkins scoring the winning goal.
And now the Tottenham faithful acknowledge the magic he might just bring to the table at the weekend.
Nobody has been involved in more goals in the Premier League this season than the England international, with 26 goal contributions, including ten assists and 16 goals.
There are some Spurs fans who are just acknowledging how good Ollie Watkins is after watching his performance at Luton.
Whilst another fan feels the 28-year-old is better than Brentford hitman Ivan Toney – the duo are competing for a place at Euro 2024.
Either way, this is what a number of Spurs fans had to say about Aston Villa’s star man up top:
Tottenham fans all say the same thing about Ollie Watkins
Ollie Watkins vs Spurs’ high line
You could argue that both Villa and Spurs play the most exciting football in the Premier League.
One thing they have in common is their high line. It has worked a treat for the duo, from an attacking sense, and it’s a reason why they are fighting for Champions League football.
Watkins is certainly going to enjoy playing against that high line because it’s his bread and butter.
But you would imagine the likes of Son Heung-min, another player having a very strong season in front of goal, will also enjoy Villa’s very own high line.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if this match ends up with goals galore because both teams are not going to back off, that’s for sure.
