Aston Villa star, Leon Bailey has opened up about manager, Unai Emery after the famous 1-0 win against Manchester City this week.
Last night, Aston Villa welcomed Manchester City to Villa Park and they were able to dominate for large spells of the game.
The game was the epitome of Unai Emery’s time with the club as he played exactly how he wanted to, to beat the best in the world.
Villa were able to keep their stars quiet which has seen Pau Torres and Ezri Konsa singled out for praise post-game.

With that being said there was one man who stood out despite the high-quality performance from all in Claret and Blue. The man who was selected as Man of the Match, Leon Bailey saw extra praise come his way.
What has Leon Bailey said?
It is safe to say that Bailey was on top of his game. He scored the eventual winner with a deflected effort late on. This was well deserved both for the Jamaican and the whole team in the end. He caused problems for the City defence all evening, they just didn’t know what to do to stop him.
The winger was given the Man of the Match by Amazon Prime and was well deserving of that accolade on the night.
Discussing the win, Bailey said: “It’s very special. On a night like this, it’s even more special. To get the win, to score the goal, it’s a magnificent feeling.
“I can’t put it into words how I feel right now. We showed great character and worked extremely hard to get these three points.”
It was a special night at Villa Park, there is no doubt about that. The atmosphere was electric and it certainly spurred on the side to victory. Bailey clearly felt that and the performance followed suit, on the night.
The winger was quick to praise his manager for his style of play which eventually secured their win vs Man City last night.
On that, he said: “[Unai Emery] has been amazing. His way of doing things is different. He knows exactly what he wants. Day in and day out he knows what he’s doing to help us get the three points.
“It was a great game. A great night for the fans. A great night for Aston Villa.”
Emery has been a blessing at Villa Park and has taken a struggling side to a genuine title race. The win over City will live long in the memory, as will the performance, especially from stars like Bailey.
