What a way for Unai Emery and the Aston Villa players to start the final run-in!
This is where the pressure is on everyone and points are expected to be dropped in the race for Champions League football.
But Aston Villa had other ideas because, not only did they secure the three points, but they also secured a much-needed clean sheet.
One man who was at the heart of Villa’s win and defensive strength was Ezri Konsa.
What a week it has been for the player!
Konsa made his England debut over the international break – producing strong performances against Brazil and Belgium – before scoring against Wolves and then earning a clean sheet.
And he did all of this by playing out of position – at right-back- and further proving his versatility to the footballing world.
Konsa took to Instagram to highlight the ‘perfect week’, with several players lauding and applauding the 26-year-old in the comments section.
Ezri Konsa’s goal v Wolves
Youri Tielemans joked and wrote ‘great chip bro’, added with a clapping and fire emoji.
Morgan Rogers, who also started the game, added ‘My goat’, whilst Tammy Abraham sent fire emojis to the player.
Bournemouth hitman Dominic Solanke added ‘Wharra finishhh’, whilst Cole Palmer simply posted ‘Ez!’.

Back into fourth
All Villa can do is focus on themselves. Win the games we have to win, such as Wolves and next week against Brentford, and the rest will take care of themselves.
It’s a trip to Manchester City up next. Everyone remembers our stunning win over them in December,
But you just know, at the Etihad, it’s going to be a different story altogether.
If we can get anything from this game, then it will be a bonus, but the players will now go into that match with a spring in their step.
Perhaps a few tweaks might need to be made, such as Lucas Digne starting or even Nicolo Zaniolo.
But either way, the big pressure cooker games won’t stop heading our way now!
