Here is how we expect Aston Villa to line-up on Wednesday during the clash with Everton in the Carabao Cup.

Aston Villa welcome a new competition for the third time in the space of six days as they welcome Everton to Villa Park.

Villa and Unai Emery will be hoping for a repeat of August’s 4-0 win over the Toffees in Premier League action.

Villa are coming into this game on a high with a 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

But Everton also come on good form after their first league win of the season in a 3-1 victory over Brentford.

Here is how we expect Emery to line-up…

Aston Villa predicted XI

We expect Emery to rotate here which will start with a new man between the sticks, with Robin Olsen replacing Emi Martinez for this one.

Calum Chambers should get the chance at right-back despite being awful in Warsaw, while Lucas Digne will probably continue with no option to give him a break.

Ezri Konsa could be joined by Clement Lenglet who will be brought in to give Pau Torres a rest.

In midfield one ever present player who should start will be Douglas Luiz, with Youri Tielemans next to him getting the opportunity to impress.

Leon Bailey we see getting the nod on the right to allow John McGinn to rest while a returning Jacob Ramsey could get his first start since his return from injury.

In Moussa Diaby’s role, we think Omari Kellyman could be given a shot here as he has impressed when given the chance despite only turning 18.

Up-front, Ollie Watkins gets rested while Jhon Duran should get to start as he is in excellent form.

Predicted XI: Olsen; Chambers, Konsa, Lengtet, Digne; Bailey, Tielemans, Luiz, Ramsey; Kellyman, Duran.
