Aston Villa face off with Bournemouth in a 3pm Premier League league clash on Saturday, October 26th.

Aston Villa are once again flying in the early stages of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.

Despite now contending with Champions League football, Unai Emery’s side are still going strong in the league.

The Villians have won five, drawn two and lost one of their opening eight fixtures, leaving them fourth in the Premier League table ahead of facing off with Bournemouth.

Another three points are likely to come back to Villa Park this weekend, with the Cherries down in 11th place and not scoring enough goals this term.

Prior to picking up a third successive European win in midweek, Aston Villa beat Fulham 3-1 in their last league outing.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, secured a surprise win over Arsenal last weekend but are still underdogs for this game.

Aston Villa team news vs Bournemouth

Villa are lucky to be one of the few Premier League sides not really dealing with any injury concerns going into the latest round of fixtures.

There was some concern around Amadou Onana ahead of Saturday after Emery subbed the midfielder off at half-time in their win over Bologna in midweek.

However, it has since been reported that Onana was in training on Thursday, suggesting he will be in contention to play some role when the Villians welcome the Cherries to their ground.

On a less positive note, Villa winger Jaden Philogene was handed a red card against Fulham last weekend.

He was able to feature in the Champions League recently but he will be suspended for the clash with Bournemouth.

Aston Villa predicted lineup vs Bournemouth

Aston Villa made history in midweek, becoming only the third side in history to win their opening three Champions League games.

However, Emery is expected to make a couple of changes to the side that started the win over Bologna FC 1909.

Matt Cash could come back into the team at right-back, seeing Ezri Konsa move into a centre-back role and Diego Carlos drop out of the eleven.

Ian Maatsen will likely drop out as well with Lucas Digne starting in the opposite full-back position.

And with Philogene suspended, Leon Bailey should come into the team on the right wing.

The final change will probably see Jhon Duran, called ‘special’ previously, dropped by Emery in place of Ollie Watkins despite the former’s excellent display in Europe.

Aston Villa (4-2-3-1): Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Pau, Digne; Onana, Tielemans; Philogene, Rogers, McGinn; Watkins.
