Aston Villa will be confident of carrying on their early season momentum when they travel to Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.
Aston Villa were 3-1 victors over Wolves on Saturday as Unai Emery’s men recorded their fifth win from six matches in all competitions.
Emery was issued a worrying Villa claim after Matheus Cunha opened the scoring inside half an hour but a second-half fightback secured all three points.
In a week where the Villans beat Young Boys 3-0 in the Champions League and midlands rival Wolves, the Birmingham outfit will now turn their attention to newly promoted Ipswich Town.
Kieran McKenna’s side are still searching for their first Premier League win of the season but have shown promising signs, namely in the 4-1 defeat to Manchester City where they initially took the lead through Sammie Szmodics.
It promises to be an entertaining spectacle at Portman Road while the refereeing selection for the clash may have fans worried.

The Premier League have now named Stuart Attwell as the referee for Villa’s trip to East Anglia this weekend, with Darren England on VAR duty.
Attwell has taken charge of just 16 matches involving Villa but their record is pretty remarkable, winning nine and losing just three times.
The 41-year-old also isn’t shy to dish out the cards in their matches, issuing 36 yellow cards, one red and five penalties.
There’s always drama and excitement when Attwell is refereeing a match involving Aston Villa and many will be able to remember the questionable decision he made in their Championship clash against Leeds United in 2019.

In the end, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa showed great sportsmanship as he instructed his players to allow Villa to score from the restart through Albert Adomah.
The season would end in delight for Villa, who beat Derby County at Wembley to seal their Premier League return while Leeds lost in the play-off semi-final against the Rams.
