Aston Villa head into the international break sitting fifth in the Premier League table after picking up a point at Wolves on Sunday.
It was a frustrating game because Aston Villa should have secured the three points, with Ollie Watkins hitting the woodwork right at the death.
But looking at the positives, Pau Torres got on the scoresheet, his first goal in Claret & Blue colours.
The home crowd were hyped up when they opened the scoring early in the second half, but that was shut down within minutes by Pau Torres.
The Spain international expressed his delight on Instagram for getting on the scoresheet and labelled the team as ‘incredible’.
Ollie Watkins, who is now on England duty, deserves huge credit for the role he played in the goal because he did ever so well to pick out his teammate following a set-piece situation.
Pau Torres delighted with first Villa goal
“We tried until the end, but only made +1,” said Torres. “Still very proud of the team and the fans that came here today.
“Happy with my first goal with this incredible team! Now it’s national team time 🇪🇸, will come back stronger, see you at Villa Park! 💜💙.”

Looking for consistency
This is the second international break and Unai Emery will be hoping his team can find some much-needed consistency when they return.
He needs to be helped in the injury department because too many players are either dropping, suffering set-backs or missing games here and there.
But given that we are fifth, despite all that in-different nature, proves how well things are going.
Someone like Torres is growing as the weeks go by and is starting to prove why Emery brought him to the club.
The manner in which we start off attacks from the back has improved with Torres in the team and, from a defensive standpoint, he is getting stronger.
Now it’s just a case of trying to come back from the international break without any issues and ready for the visit of West Ham United.
