Most of the Aston Villa side were excellent in a 4-1 Europa Conference League win against AZ Alkmaar, but Boubacar Kamara was ‘crucial’.
A second consecutive 4-1 win for Aston Villa as they followed up Sunday’s win over West Ham with another equally as dominant.
Leon Bailey, Youri Tielemans, Ollie Watkins and John McGinn all got on the score sheet for the away side as they jumped top of Group E.
Villa were so good that even former Blue Robbie Savage couldn’t help but praise the Villains.
Following the game, Birmingham Live have gave their player ratings, with one man labelled ‘crucial’.

‘Crucial’ Villa man praised
John Townley gave his player ratings post-game and it was Boubacar Kamara that stood out for him.
Townley scored him an eight out of 10 for his performance in the game, before giving him a raving review.
“Kamara was an imperious force in the middle of the park tonight, making a number of crucial blocks and tackles.
“He was let off after Villa went ahead as he lost the ball on the edge of Villa’s box, and he should have been punished by Pavlidis.”
A raving review, and in a game with so many top-performers, it is high praise to be rated so highly.
Kamara v AZ Alkmaar
