Jack Grealish jokingly told Troy Deeney to ‘leave us alone’ via his personal Twitter account after Aston Villa’s 3-0 defeat to Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Watford striker, Deeney, netted a brace during the game and then stated on his personal Twitter account that ‘we will do it all again’ as he was making reference to a video where he was greeting Grealish after the match.

Nigel Pearson’s side started the match five points behind Villa in the Premier League’s relegation zone, and despite going down to 10 men, they walked away with a comfortable three points.

After the match, Deeney sent this message from his personal Twitter account, as Grealish also issued a response to his message:

Villa’s result at Vicarage Road was very worrying, especially given how Dean Smith’s side have been performing during this past month.

They are sitting in the relegation zone after 20 matches, and with the New Year and the January transfer window coming up, they need to change their ways and add some experience if they are to survive.

Villa have been relying on Grealish too much and there’s no doubt that his teammates have to step up, as the results and performances have been pretty shocking.

On New Year’s Day, Villa will travel to Turf Moor to take on Sean Dyche’s Burnley, who recorded a 2-2 draw at Villa Park earlier on in the season, as Smith’s side simply cannot afford to lose again.
