Jack Grealish has expressed his anger on Twitter after Aston Villa had a last-minute goal chalked off during their 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, Villa winger Trezeguet was shown a second yellow after the break, with Dean Smith’s 10 men punished as Jordan Ayew netted a deserved goal for the home team.

But in the dying moments of the game, Grealish made a run into the penalty area where he played a pass to Henri Lansbury on his right-hand side as he slotted home.

But referee Kevin Friend ruled the goal out because he judged that Grealish had dived in the build-up to the goal, but replays showed that he was fouled.

Understandably, the Villa players were furious with the decision, as Grealish shared his thoughts on the incident, as posted on his personal Twitter account.

Villa should have come away from the match with a point to their name, but in the end, they left Selhurst Park empty-handed.

The international break will now kick in and Villa have suffered three defeats and picked up one win from their opening four matches.

Whilst Villa will be disappointed with their current points tally, the performances and fight from the team has been something to cheer about.
