Aston Villa fans on Twitter have praised the performance of Marvelous Nakamba after he helped his side record a dramatic 2-1 win over Watford in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

Dean Smith’s side, who were trailing 1-0 to a Troy Deeney header, scored both their goals in the second half, including a last-minute winner thanks to Ezri Konsa’s shot deflecting off Tyrone Mings’ boot.

Villa fans picked out Nakamba as one of their standout performers as some felt that he put in his best performance to date.

The 26-year-old showed high energy levels throughout the 90 minutes, including the ability to constantly break up play and drive forward.

In the end, his never-say-die attitude in the middle of the park helped Villa secure a valuable three points, which has now pushed them out of the Premier League’s relegation zone.

It was a much-needed performance from Nakamba because Villa’s midfield has been pretty lacklustre in recent times.

Now it’s a case of Nakamba adding more consistency to his game because if he is able to do that then it’ll increase Villa’s chances of surviving in England’s top-flight.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Villa fans on Twitter reacting to Nakamba’s display during that last-gasp win against their relegation rivals:
